Going Home

The famous phrase
"You can't go home again"
Is so true
For those of us who have tried

This has more meanings
Than just the obvious
The old ways are discarded
In favor of the new

Not because of avant garde
Not because of keeping up
Not because of being fashionable
Or immature rebelliousness

The simple truth is
As we grow, develop
Evolve and mature
The old ways don't work the same way anymore

We are as unrecognizable to home
As home is to us
This is not a bad thing
This is not a good thing

This is the way of all things.
