Her

Tihani Waipapas 1987 (Hawaii)

She's curled up in her bed crying,  she dont know what she did or where she's going,  all she knows is where she's been and how she's hurting.  The emotion is flowing and she can't stop the feelings.  She's slowly dying inside as she watches the blood flowing from her veins. She's smiling now as the first drop hits the floor.  Another cut and then another.  Slowly but surely her eyes get darker.  The deeper she cuts the better she feels.  Unable to control herself but willing the outcome.  Then her baby makes a sound so she stops the bleeding.  Makes a promise to endure the pain until he baby is grown.  When they let her go like all the others.  That's when she will do it.  She will finish what she started and finally know peace from the pain that kills her slowly on the daily.  For her biggest scars cannot be seen by anyone unbroken.  These are the scars that haunt her dreams.  They live in her mind and tear her down.  She puts them to the back of her mind because she can't handle the pain.  It's all consuming and it's always there.  Through the years and pain she's felt.  Every broken piece she has.  They are shattered and scattered in the wind.  She puts on a brave face and pretends to be okay.  As she waits for the day she can be free from pain.
