Childhood Memories

It seems like only yesterday,
when we were children out to play.
Not a care in the world,
not a one, boy or girl.
Friends we had, best friends forever,
hoping we'd grow old together.
Remembering our very first crush,
the one we thought we loved so much.
So many times wished we were grown,
oh if only we had known.

For now those days are gone away,
memories of yesterday.
Wishing that we could go back,
so many things we would take back.
Friends we lost along the way,
maybe we'll find again some day.
So listen to me when i say,
enjoy your childhood,
it'll be gone someday.
