I Can Only Imagine

“I can only imagine”

I can only imagine how life would be

If Jesus Christ was standing here with you and me

Just shooting the breeze and cracking jokes

Informing his people not to give up hope

Telling the “g’z” to get off the road they on

Put his hand on their heart and the pain is gone

No more hanging on to the devils’ lies

Dophines kick addictions because they realize

I can only imagine how life would be

If I didn’t hear gun shootings down my street

And all the gangs in this world would finally give up all their beef

If woman would quit selling their body’s

Or a disagreement wouldn’t end in violence

If they gave people in prison a 2nd chance instead of letting them die in riots

I can only imagine how life would be

If every family could live happily

Kids love their parents, parents love their kids

And they didn’t know what abuse or divorice is

Or what it was and this is all because

We had open hearts to receive Gods’ love

I can only imagine how life would be

If no one had suicidal tendencies

Instead of feeling alone and all unloved

Someone would reach out to them and give them a hug

And all the tears that we cried is because of feeling joy inside

The deaf could hear the blind could see and all the sinners would walk the line

I can only imagine how life would be

If everybody had food to eat

And I didn’t have to see my brothers and sisters living on the street

We all had clothes to wear and a place to stay

Wake up with the feeling everythings ok

Get on our knees and start to pray

Praising the lord for another day

I can only imagine how life would be

If we wouldn’t be tricked by lust and greed

Warnings of the bible we would all take heed

Non believers would fully believe

We would feed our seed so our faith would grow

And didn’t have to feel like this world was so cold

I can only imagine!!!
