Over The Rainbow Bridge

Over the rainbow bridge you go
In to the meadows where warm winds blow
Through thick and thin you’ve been by my side
With all the times that I have cried
You never faltered you never feared
Even when the end was near

You will be missed You were loved so much
with ever persons heart you touched
You’ve left a hole so big and wide
All I’ve done for you is cried

You were my shadow you were my friend
With every day my heart will mend
It won’t be easy I’ll be very sad
But for you my friend I’m very glad

Your in no pain, you can run and play
With friends of old every day
Heartbreak doesn’t define our loss
I know your happy, we miss you lots

About this poem

I wrote this after having our beloved family dog put down! She was there for me at my lowest points in my life!
