Holding on

My mind spins like a violent wind thats been resurrected from the deepest seas to strike landfall with a vengeance.
So many things going through my mind and I can't find the time in a single day to find a means of cleansing
A resent builds inside of me that's aimed at me for the things that I did to lead you off of the path where our feet belonged
That path that allowed me to hold my head at high, the pride that you didn't know that you helped provide
You started making your way away from me and my sun began to grow more dim a little more each day
I felt as if I have become a prisoner from way deep  down inside my soul
The me that's me is hid beneath the weight of burdens that slowly begin to take their toll
They crash inside like angry waves on the wings of destiny's pain
Underneath those wings that fly so high attached is all of my shame
Several years of addiction poorly made mistakes, you'd think I'd learn about the choices I make
No not once have I stopped to think, the price of from my sins that I have to pay
I've paid for my sins over and over again but still can't find my way
I'm still not sure where I lost myself, where I have lost my way
In this life their are for certain, many troubled ways
If you find yourself on one, best drop to knees and pray
Help me still Lord while im here to learn a different way
