monster

As she whispered
all I heard was the agony
in her voice.

     a strange calm
     in a strange place
     devoid of all happiness

she smiled.
A catastrophe of grins and smiles
  eroded at my very being
and in the deepest, coldest places
          she gave the warmest hugs.

                                   alas.
for what I thought was ages
tuned to pierce my head
over
and over again.
                         The oddest of melodies.

             alas.

A monster

                      like me.

About this poem

I seem to forget the words every time I say them. So I'll write them instead. A poem about thinking too much, love just seems to never stop by.
