Faerie Dancing
Faerie Dancing
In between the quiet spaces
of whispered heartbeats matched in time
Truth so simple and yet so Strong
to be subtly veiled in rhyme
You'll find peace that's everlasting
Love that's always so fresh and new
Warm cozy nights by a fireplace
Sipping cocoa steamed just for two
Stars that twinkle in satin black
Looking down here upon Our Soul
Hands entwined in one another
Belong both two parts of a whole
Come chase the moonbeams shining down
Run with me laughing so brightly
breathing in sweet and earthy scents
Come and meet here with me nightly
Tumble into dew speckled grass
Cross the mountains and swim the sea
Rest and Dream of visions peaceful
For in my arms safe and warm You'll be.

About this poem
Stephen was inspired to write this at a time in his life when he was madly in love with a girl named Jennifer. At his most inspired, the words flow freely and fast. This particular poem in total took almost 45 seconds writing it straight out as fast as he could keep up. He did have to correct for typing errors, otherwise there were no changes to the original poem itself. If you think that this poem sounds familiar, you may be right, as this is the poem that Stephen has won a number of poetry contests with. more »
