I wish I mattered to you

Lula Jean Remick 1973 (New Hampshire)

My heart is shattered.

I’m in pain,

I don’t know how life,

Will go on again.

Time will move forward,

The world might move on,

But I don’t know how to do this anymore.

I wish my heart was something

that mattered to you

I wish that I was someone,

You wanted too.

I’m falling  into a deep dark whole

I just wish I was someone that mattered to you

In you came in on a breeze

You stole my heart away.

I don’t know how you did it,

Always thought it was guarded well.

But here I am crumbling inside,

Never knew pain like I do tonight

I wish my heart was something

that mattered to you

I wish that I was someone,

You wanted too.

I’m falling  into a deep dark whole

I just wish I was someone that mattered to you

Time will go on and life will too

I’ll try to live but it will never be true

How I could I trust

My own heart

When it let you in only to tear me apart

I wish my heart was something

that mattered to you

I wish that I was someone,

You wanted too.

I’m falling  into a deep dark whole

I just wish I was someone that mattered to you
