BEAUTY PAINT AND PHYISQUE

BEAUTY PAINT AND PHYISQUE

Go my ephemeral lover!
Take your beauty paint and physique,
For I wish to see you no more!

I gave what I never received,
I gave love, I gave care,
And what did I get?

Go to your world, the streets!
Where your beauty paint and physique matter,
And not your heart.

Go! You demagogue!
Go where only the hungry shall stop,
Not for your beauty paint and physique,
But, for their pleasure.

About this poem

This is about a short lived love affair between a young man and a young lady. She dumped him and opted to have an adventurous life. The young man was deeply hurt and didn't want to her anymore. He also feels that no one would love the he does and the love she may come across would not be genuine.
