A year ago today
My heart sank
When my phone began to ring
I paused before answering it saying God please not yet. As I answered with tears already rolling down my face, I heard the words... He's gone. I couldn't speak, I didn't know what to say except ok. I held it together even after i said goodbye but when they came to get him, I yelled, I Love You Daddy then broke down and cried. I will never forget you and all that you've done. I miss you Dad, but our memories will live on.
