Holding on to the moment that I came to Jesus

Royston 1946 (Reading)

I wanted to hold on to the moment
and never to let it go.
I wanted to stay there forever but knew
that it could never be so.
I wanted it to go on and on and just hoped
that it would never stop.
But the moment had finished and I had to
come down from the mountaintop.

But that precious moment did continue
with me forever
because it was locked there in my memory
and it could never
pass into the realms of oblivion and become lost
in the vastness of time.
For Jesus is with me forever and ever
and He will always be mine.
