The I

The I

The path may be rocky
The mountains may be high
But what stands in our way
Is strength of our I

The I is our image
The I is our esteem
The I is contingent
On the thoughts that make me

If my thoughts are inline
With the words I say
Peace can occur
The I works that way

If my thoughts and my words
Conflict in my mind
The strength of the I
Makes me weaker over time

The best way to live
Is to be what you say
To do what you love
And to help others along the way

The path will be rocky
The mountains will be high
The only thing standing in our way
Is the strength of the I
