Oh, beauty! Heavens call for you
They cry for you, look for you.

All are lost in your ambiguity
You are the Orabelle
You are the aurum altayr
Answer the call
for who knows

About this poem

The poem, first published on the occasion of India's 75th Independence Day, is a romanticized piece about the opportunity cost of India's freedom. The poet has titled her poem with the French word- Orabelle to describe India's lost golden glory with profound agony.
