Alone In Space

The darkness is around me, engulfing me,
feeding on me, suffocating me.
The loneliness has come, it is his turn now,
my mind is one with him,
in-sync with it.

So, this is what feels like to be alone.

The serene beauty of it all, just melts my heart.
This feeling is not love, it is fear.
Fear, filled with awe and wonder.
Fear, filled with curiosity and desire.
Fear, with a possibility of death.
Fear, filled with Peace.

It is space, and I am all alone her,
Waiting to see where my journey takes me.

About this poem

The title does a lot of justification to the poem. This is my first time writing anything and it is something that I feel whenever I think about what is beyond our small world.
