Renaissance
I see you, and all of my pain and my doubts melt away
As I melt into your arms
A feeling of complete and indescribable euphoria
As the serotonin hits me like a hurricane
My fear falls into the nothingness that I feel when I lack your presence
I do dream of you
And every dream...
Offers an unquenchable sweetness that can only be satisfied when you kiss me
And as Hozier said,
“The only Heaven I’ll be sent to, is when I’m alone with you”
And when you so much as touch my hand,
My heart beats to the rhythm of "You and I" and "Cherry Wine"
Our love,
Like Renaissance,
Is defined by the word new, but feels old
Like I’ve loved you for eternity
Just being near you is my favorite paradise
And I’d give anything to ensure that your ethereal smile lasts forever
And when I stare into your heavenly green eyes
I can’t help but get lost in the forest that they emulate
And when I hear your voice
I hang on to every word you say like it’s a prayer
And you’re my religion
And the only words that can escape my lips are “Amen” and “I Love You”
