How Life Works

Seems like the day is just passing by
No emotions just the taste of a little high
I don’t think I can manage to handle another fight
Just worn out, torn out, leading them to a goodbye

But that’s not the way that life works
I wish I could say goodbye to my worst
A little zen mixed with some tea and herbs
A little piano to accompany my thirst

Guess that’s the way life should work

But that’s not the way that this life works
Escape in drugs and all the noise
Need me some me time not the merch
To finally come up with a peace sign at a church

But that’s not the way that this life works
That’s not the way life should work

Sit back and smoke one get drunk and then reverse
Mindlessly listening and not even paying attention to a verse
The work put in just for your satisfaction but you only listen to the curse

But I suppose, that’s not the way that this life works
