DAYS AND NIGHTS

Days and nights pass
with daily grinds,
of life in a mayhem,
we get on with what
must be done  in tandem.

What might even be enjoyable,
but often mundane yet essential
for sustenance of life and livelihood.
I even laugh at the jokes if I could.

Marvel  at nature’s beauty and elegance , saviour delightful cuisines,
cuddle and pamper my chihuahua,
as if all is normal and  my life is fine la la.

Yet , there is this constant and persistent unforgiving sense of something vacant
something not quite right with a void inside
and I am brought back starkly
to real life and to reality darkly
with a renewed profound sense of loss ,
that of loss of Bonnie for ever from us.

There is a deep sense of anguish
mercifully at times momentary
but emotions very raw and elementary,
that can be linger on for long  paradoxically.

Bonnie is no longer, she is forever gone
and this hits me harder in the dawn.
Daily grinds of life begin again
and it’s mayhem,
we have to get by in tandem.
