Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

No location to find prevents,
The mind from using it to explore.
And adventure more.
Since boundaries to limit this,
No one can say...
They have been restricted,
With thoughts blocked to stop...
To have them left mentally locked up.

Perhaps in some places,
People are made convinced...
Thinking to do for them does not benefit.
And dependable is ignorance,
To rely upon and expect.
Done to share with others also lost.
In the hope someone will come along,
With crayon drawn maps.

Displaying the faces,
Of familiar cartoon characters.
Joyfully pointing the way...
As to which direction each step to make,
Leads them to the next...
Fantasy to delude.
That avoids threats suspected,
To their expected...
Sweet treated way of life.

Viewed to believe and see,
On their TV sets or at the movies.
