I thought

charlene white 1967 (New orleans)

I thought I was the love of your life. Plans of becoming your wife.
I thought you couldn't  live without me . If I were to leave you ,death will be there for to get you  shortly after.
I thought I was number one ,the one you put high on that stool.
I was the fool, always last on your  list. Out of sight meant out of mind weeks pass before I'd  hear from you.
Laughs and good times was the normal for you . I've  learned you did  rendezvous and hotel rooms stays is where you spent your nights, road trips and dinner sits with your friends on weekends ,that you promised was yours & mine, now it has  slowly faded, as so did our friendship which you haven't even taken notice . I thought my love was your savior, how was I so wrong  I'm only thought of  when your alone.
