Humble Bard’s Avowal

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

Oh, such a pleasure it has been, My Friend,
to write and share in each creative way …
that captivates smart readers ’til the end,
with imagery and metaphoric sway.

With rusty, battered pen – by care it’s filled,
the olde bard labors hard to ply his trade,
in hopes that each and every reader’s thrilled
to share what meager efforts he has made.

Still, no one ever knows what fate might bring …
whatever endings may be thought as good;
but, try his best, he does in everything,
as he has learned and knows he surely should.

In humbled, deep respect he always bows,
in gratitude for those who’ve come to browse.
