Have you ever.

John Gilbert Amero 1966 (Philadelphia, PA)

Have you ever heard the wind,
Complain as it moves through the leaves?
Have you ever heard the water,
Complain as it moves through the eaves?
Have you ever heard the fire,
Complain as it burns wood red?
Have you ever heard the earth,
Complaint is it holds the dead?

About this poem

This phone came to be after summer rain storm came through and when the rain was finished it was really loud dripping everywhere birds were chirping loudly and yet there was a calm silence everywhere around it.
