YESTERDAY’S ZERO

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

A little man from yesterday
Has come to say he’s big and brave;
But all the folks have gone away,
‘Cause Kevin’s back in town.

He tells us he’s a big brave stud
But people say he’s just a dud;
This little man called Kevin Rudd,
No one wants him hanging around.

He thinks he is this country’s hero
But Australia thinks he is a zero;
A mighty man?   Or just a dero?
Please go away, you clown!

Go, go, go away … while you can
Runaway right now, you little man;
No one wants you in this land,
He brings Australia down.

Julia, Julia, please come back
Protect us from this evil quack;
He has Australia on the rack,
Oh, our troubles do abound!

Julia, please, we need you now
Don’t let him take Australia down;
Keep Tony from coming into power,
His mind games will sink this land!
