See the Sea

Long legs big beak stealthy like a fox
White plumage wings of glory
Folded underneath
Long neck blazing eyes the Egret stalks its prey
The fiddler and the frog know to stay away
In the distance a muskrats indifference
As it burrows through the marsh

With a tilt of its head and a blink of an eye
Like lightening dashing across the sky
The little minnow has no chance
the Egret is much too fast

Natural beauty, natures play
on stage for all to see
let our kids enjoy their show
Caretakers we all must be
For generations come to sea.
