Thistle’s Touch

Like a thistle bloomed in the moors,
Hardened by the bitter winds from the gray stony sea
Prickled thorns that draw the blood of the greedy,
So are the victims of blackened hate and festered love.
And the prince of solid gold who held his heart high, where is he now?
Downwards blading slow through the waters to the sandy sloe.
