Trapped In Work

As I rake over these coals
I make my brain
I brake my struts

Which seems insane
Ploddering Doddering Cauterizing
Wrappin Dappin Tappin

One foot after another Tappin'
Along as it’s not all the time gappin
Reiteratin’ sentences Laminatin’ paragraphs
Editin’ words Pastin’ documents
Makin’ them proper makin’ them act like they have class

Situatin’ commas
Lettin them breathe
Sittin’ off to the side
Like a concerned and upset momma

Writin’ all my words
Write them together
Like a mish mush
It seems quite absurd

I need to hang my letters to the left of me
And all my errors mismentions and corrections
At the free throw line proper… for all of me to see

Lettin’ them know that I dare not see them in detention
And before I forget I’m gonna mention
I gonna take my time in my carefully crafted rhyme
What they say and see it acquires a whole lotta
 school time

Trapped In Work
Stowin’ Rowin’ Towin’
Mowin’ Growin’ Sewin’

Like an Essential Worker;
Never been a fretter
Tell me who else does it better
Now let me gravitate to ya
Like I Know
I primp I prod I flow I grow

I burn the house down, I stress my vowels to enhance
Get em to return rebuild and then refinance
In order to come together to this last dance

This is highly crafted symphony
As I wrap this rhyme here’s a tip from me
I before e except after c

Using Thus rather than the antiquated Thee
Our actions determine us
Rather than we
I’m Trapped in Work
