GET OUT OF TIBET

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

It’s time to tell the Chinese
‘Get the Hell out of Tibet!’
To give them a stern warning
That the won’t very soon forget.

It’s time to stop the argy-bargy
And get the good job done,
We should not rest a minute
Until Chinese rule is gone.

So pass a message onto Beijing
It’s time for them to get out,
Make it certain we don’t merely ask
So the overlords have no doubt:

No doubt that we’re not just talking
We mean exactly what we say,
The time has come for Tibet
To have it’s Independence Day.

So make a stand for freedom
For truth and democracy,
And tell Beijing the day has come
For Tibet to be truly free.

About this poem

As I have said before, I don't approve of countries owning other countries. Especially a country with the human rights violations to its name that China has!
