Consigned to oblivion...

Cruising through piercing winds
Drifting country miles from you,
Humming to dead heartbeats
Imbibing pitchers of beer too soon.

Liquid courage blurs the streets
At 90 sticks don't shift so smooth,
Empty tanks steer shimmering lights
Vibing to vibrant sunset hues.

Beacon of hope awaits my stroll
On balmy dusk and moonlit lawns,
Basking on shores with remedy blunts
Vistas of colour drench my orbs.

From spirit-shattering to soul-searching
Nimble mind succours our role,
Selfish traits and selfless ways
Appease us not nor changes course.
