Always With You

You were my bundle of joy
My only hope, my only light
You were my only toy
My first hope, my first light
I played my part as thy mother
Thy friend, thy mate and thy brother

And now that you have grown
Sweet memories, thy has thrown
I yet, shall wait for thee, my child
For this world is cruel and wild
And I shall not let thee fall nor cry
I shall not let my heart run dry
For my child, will forever be my child

And as this cycle does go on
To you too, a child will be born
You too will one day laugh and smile
And feel the pain walking down the aisle
You too will someday love and cry
And learn to show that, they did try

Now I have grown tired and old
And my memory grown short
I took care of you all through the cold
And given you all that I have got
The time has now come, my child
Not for you to care me back
For your love, with me, is for life stacked

Have to go on your own from now
Show the world that you ain't a cow
Prove me proud, as you can be
Prove me worthy, as you can be
Show me, my life has not gone in vain
Show me, you can make yourself a name
Holding your hand from now never
In mind and heart shall but be, forever
I shall be for ever with thee
That is all left, to give to you, from me
For my child, will forever be my child

Mahesh Wadhwani

I always apologize for the length of my text as that’s the best way for me to communicate rather than verbally!! Not a man of many words but still manage to doodle when in mood to write, which is rare!! I am not even sure if what I scribble is poetry or even what form or just words that rhyme!! To me writing is an art, a sign of creativity and a means of expression. I don't really think that anyone can just write without any feelings, without having felt, without having lived, experienced or cherished. Whatever one writes, there is some amount of a persons own feelings and presence or of those around them, indicated in the works. So I am thankful to all the people in my life and those yet to come for having given me life, love, happiness and even pain. At-least I have had the opportunity to feel it , live it and express it, whatever it maybe. Cheers! more…
