In Search Of You

I fear hopes
I fear light
They burn my heart
They burn my eyes
All that I need
Is to see things get right
Someone out there to hold me tight
Someone to wish me good nite

Where are you my friend
My life is here at its end
You say you are there
How come, I know not where
Why can't you make me see
What you say, lies in front of me
You never understood what I always said
If you stood in my shoes, you would be by now dead

But your life has just begun
You now lie in the arms of your loved one
Is there place for me
Just for me, by me, with me
Is that a lot for me to say
A few hours, a few minutes, of each lonely day
To someone whom I thought
To be to only one I sought
I know I am too selfish
I know I am too strong
But there's no life without you
No whispers, no tears
No raindrops, no dews
No laughter, no sunshine
No love, no peace of mind

Just me and myself
Just me and our past
Where are thee my mate
I have waited and shall forever wait
Till I can last

Mahesh Wadhwani

I always apologize for the length of my text as that’s the best way for me to communicate rather than verbally!! Not a man of many words but still manage to doodle when in mood to write, which is rare!! I am not even sure if what I scribble is poetry or even what form or just words that rhyme!! To me writing is an art, a sign of creativity and a means of expression. I don't really think that anyone can just write without any feelings, without having felt, without having lived, experienced or cherished. Whatever one writes, there is some amount of a persons own feelings and presence or of those around them, indicated in the works. So I am thankful to all the people in my life and those yet to come for having given me life, love, happiness and even pain. At-least I have had the opportunity to feel it , live it and express it, whatever it maybe. Cheers! more…
