I’ll self destruct

Chardee Chase 1986 (queens)

I'll self-destruct

Thought we were the perfect look,
Both of our lives together created the perfect book,
But you took,
That all away from me when you became that crook,
You stole my heart, allowed me to only love you, without even thinking or stopping to take a look,
Around
Thought you was that person who would always be down for me,
But all you did was cheat me,
Out of true love,
People looked at us like matching pairs of gloves,
This has been going on for a long time,
In front of the camera, I was your number one dime,
Behind the scenes
You proved who you are, which was very mean
You bought me great gifts and fine things,
I just accepted it all and never really knew what it all means,
You taught me not to listen anyone,
And when you make it big we were going to be living like we are number one
Boy did that brighten up my smile,
All though it took a while, I knew I will soon be saying it was worth the wait
I accepted being your bait,
At the end of the fishing pole, only if you knew you were creating a bigger hole,
For me to fall
I tried to stand tall and live above it all,
But a woman can only tolerate so much but a bunch of shit
Until a man cuts her
Heart with a knife and watches it split in two
Yes I'm feeling blue
But I had to be true
I could no longer hide and tuck
I'm at a point where I Will Self Destruct!
