The River has crossed the Bridge!!
There she stood as if life had come to an end
She had lost all, she felt beneath her no land
Was it the truth that had hurt her the most
Or was it the trust that had been lost
It had all never been a cake walk for her
The liveliness had evaded which was so dear
The will to freedom had long forgone
The happiness had been so very bygone
She had given up everything for him
Everything had turned so very dim
He stood there asking for forgiveness
The river had crossed the bridge no less
She had nothing to give him
Not even sympathy all but grim
