DEAR MR. PRESIDENT: THEY'VE JUST DISCOVERED OIL IN ZIMBABWE

Dear Mr. President, if I may
I must ask you to listen to me,
There's something which you badly need to know
They've just discovered oil, in Zimbabwe.

Dear Mr. President, I have to say
Will you listen to my plea?
There's a massive wrong that needs to be righted
By you, Mr. President, if you please.

Dear Mr. President, of the U.S.A.
There's something that you need to see,
I wouldn't lie to you sir, it's true
They've just discovered oil, in Zimbabwe.

Dear Mr. President, today's the day
When you need to listen to me,
Over in Africa, a once-thriving nation
Has been brought down, to its knees.

Dear Mr. President, by the way
There's a nation, dying of need,
A need for help from a powerful ally, and
They've just discovered oil, in Zimbabwe.

Dear Mr. President, is there a ray?
A glimmer of hope that I can see?
People are dying in the millions in a land
Which once was completely free.

Dear Mr. President, may I just say
It's time to help, not just fight for greed,
I'm sorry to admit, is not really true
They haven't discovered oil, in Zimbabwe.

THE END

About this poem

Redneck American insists that the “War Against Terrorism” is not just a sleazebag ploy by the U.S.A. to get its hands on Arab Oil. Then answer two questions. 1) Why did the U.S. and her allies invade Iraqi in 1991 to stop it taking over Kurwait, which historically IS Iraqi territory? The 17th province of Persia until Great Britain ripped it away illegally. 2) Why does the U.S. not go to war to save the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in Zimbabwe being murdered by Maddog Mugabe and his Yellow Cowards Who Creep in the Night?
