Transformation

Brain fog sets in
Maybe the room will spin
Fun for a minute
Then not so much

And then you need more
Telling yourself
The pain
The pain is what it is for

But you know
That's not right
So
Slowly you fade
Into yourself

And then
Comes the heartache
Because that
Is not who you are

And yes
Now it is

And to get back
To yourself
There will be pain
And crying
Naked to the world
And yourself

And then
A special hell
Of your own creation

And the pain
It starts to subside
And then
You see yourself
A shadow of the man
You used to be

But
You are there
I know that you are
Welcome back
My old friend
You have been missed

Baby steps
They turn to miles

Welcome to your transformation
