The Queen of Bloom
With the imminent tides of gloom
She looked at her subjects and spelled doom
Her hands wrapped in bolts—zoom!
Straight from the Gods I assume
As the seas continued to roil
The oceans appeared to toss and toil
At the mere thought of life on soil
This was reprehensible! A foil !
Her citizens were no doubt dubiously aflutter
Crying babies and sour apples torn asunder
Pleading subjects acquiescing princes made blunders
All grievances clapped down like thunder !
As the furious rains continue to pelt
Her heart showed no opportunity to melt
She looked westward to an absent spot
To a young girl in an often-homely lot
The child sat there in plain colored white
Sad and wistful was she colored in light
Present in this house quite plain
Her family was not here but, on a train
She saw her insignificant circumstance
As it appeared as just happenstance
She paid no mind as she held her bear
Which she got to ease her sadness with care
In a small, sanctified outpost to the world
She hugged and cherished that bear like a pearl
With eyes as big they were two separate moons
Watching them together she thought she was immune
Immune she thought she was but was not
This girl had captured her and what rot
She saw her play with that bear. What a hoot!
Take out her musical instrument Play the Flute!
The girl’s joy unbeknownst to the queen
Had her thinking she been quite mean
She saw something in her that reflected
The joy and care that she respected
In seeing this she turned to correcting
The one person she had been neglecting
So, she called her minions for a meeting
And she didn’t like repeating
She demanded all toys be released
All production in factories to cease!
Told all faeries to use their power
To bring life all toys by the hour!
Came out in droves, they heard a voice say “Simba!”
Marching one-toed bears, little used dolls, and a Mecha Godzilla
They lined up in single space file
Waiting for the queen’s final mile
Every flying creature roared and flew
To deliver the one present she knew
That would be cherished by a chosen few
One appreciated by queens bears me and you
