Feed Me, Lord

Oh, loving Father,
forgive my foolish pride,
I think, alone that I can I strive
with evil forces on my side.

Your holy Name!
It feels my heart with quiet joy,
in awe I bend my knee and cry
to You, Redeemer of my soul.

A God of love!
No human words can speak
of love and sacrifice so big
that dying, Jesus took the sting
and freely gave me life.

Oh, Lord of grace!
instruct my selfish way
abide in me and hear me pray,
as clinging to the cross, I stay.

About this poem

The poem was written in a time of spiritual famish and overwhelming challenges. I knew my Savior had my healing and freedom but I did not know how to access them.
