TANKA VERSES #002
POLITICAL/MAINSTREAM/HORROR VERSES:
THE DEAD CENTRE OF AUSTRALIA
One week of the year
Adelaide once came alive,
Now the place is dead.
Nothing ever happens there
Fifty-two weeks of the year.
THE BUSH ERROR
After seven long
Years, of George Bush’s terrorism,
I cannot believe
That anyone would ever think,
Of voting Republican.
THE MAN-GIRLS FROM BEIJING
Bulging mannish thighs
And arms as thick as tree trunks:
Beijing’s mannish girls;
These steroid queens are soiling
The once pure sport of swimming.
MANNISH GIRLS
Beijing’s mannish girls
With shoulders broad as mountains,
Voices deep as a man’s;
They claim they are not cheaters,
These mannish girls from Beijing.
HORROR FROM THE DEEPS
Horror from the deeps
Beasts from some watery world,
Dreamt of by no man
Come visiting the seashore,
Dragging swimmers to their doom.
THE LURKERS WITHIN
Midnight breezes howling
Sound like unseen carnivores,
Nervous people hide
From unseen dangers without,
Blind that danger lurks within.
PREDATORS STALKING
The odour of death
Wafting along in the breeze,
Predators stalking
Through the moonlight, waiting for
Unsuspecting passers-by.
WARNINGS OF MADNESS (08/07/2021)
Warnings of madness
Evil manifestations
Overwhelming your senses,
Cries of agony
Unseen horrors lurch your way.
WET MUSIC
Insane musician
Playing his wet music on,
Human intestines;
A knife-blade his only bow
To play screaming instruments.
THE END
