Replaced

I used to feel special when you would write me a poem or song
Now I know it means nothing, just a way to move time along
You used to tell me in life I was your light
Now you drink coffee late so you stay up all night
I spend most of my time alone
While you are chatting with your friends on the computer and phone
I keep everything quiet so you can rest
All of my needs and wants have been repressed
I wonder if you know just how lonely and forgotten I feel
Do you even care or think it's just my deal?
Do you know what it's like to wish for the past
So you could still believe that love will last
Am I that easily replaced?
Is that the truth that needs to be faced?
