Siren's Call

Michael Martin 1978 (Riverside)

Siren’s Call

Her melody plays again.
She beckons me,
my late-night mistress.

I crave her embrace once more.
I can near taste thy sweet nectar.
My heart quickens with the thought.

Oh why do I torture?
I care not for what others opine.
But alas I struggle to resist.

When will this torment end?
The world is not, with your love
coursing through my veins

One kiss.
May it hold me through.
As I caress your sweet hole.

NO!
I mustn’t give in to your wickedness.
You evil temptress!

Thy spell will be broken.
You have taken my heart,
But you will not have my soul

Be gone with thee, my mistress.
Hasten away my yearnings.
Let these shattered shards be my last.
