Because You're My Mom

Sheila M Clavo 1958 (Hospital)

Your heart is good as gold
You help the young, and the old
When you're mad, you will fuss
Sometimes, you'll even laugh with us
You always help us when we call
Holding our hands to catch our fall
Spoiling everyone is what you do
Even the homeless if they ask you to
One day you're happy, the next you're sad
When you hug your grandkids you become glad
Never once will you miss your prayers
Even your appointment to fix your hair
You're always spending lots of time shopping
You even know how to go casino hopping
When you're sick your family is there
You get many cards & prayers from everywhere
When your grandkids were all born
You have your kids the strength to carry on
You're one lady we'll always love
You're Blessed by God & the Heaven's above
You're My Mom!

Sheila M Clavo

Southern Lady, Poet, disabled, whose teachers pushed me to write in elementary school. I didn't have confidence so I was a Girl Scout, volunteered, and had a lot of Barbie Dolls as well as an Easy Bake Oven. I didn't stop writing. People kept being supportive with my work. Suddenly I found myself writing on s regular basis. In no time at all I was honored all around as a Poet. It's been about 50years. I've enjoyed every step in the process.  more…
