LAND OF BROKEN PROMISES

In the land of broken promises
Hope is rarely ever fulfilled,
Nothing seems to go your way
Until you've had your fill.

Your fill of broken promises
Your fill of an empty life,
A life without any children
Without a husband, or a wife.

A family is out of reach
In the awful, broken land,
Where lonesome losers dwell
Forced to camp in desert sands.

Red sands burning the flesh
Of those forced to live outside,
Unless they live in packing crates
Or more luckily have died.

Empty people live here
In this unbearable place,
Where no-one ever comes by choice
And no-one ever wants to stay.

Horror fills the lives
Of most who come down here,
A horror that they'll never leave
A creeping, frigid fear.

Fear you'll spend your life here
And that you never will escape,
From this living Hell on Earth
This fouls and morbid landscape.
