Twisted

Brandy Wells 1977 (Arkansas)

Life is different for each and everyone of us.I’ve heard people say, you should walk a mile in my shoes I wouldn’t want anyone to walk in my shoes.I believe God has a plan for us,we all have a  purpose here on earth. And he is the only one who is perfect. listening or reading others stories how they've all been through some terrible times and great times when I think that I have hit rock bottom and nothing else can be any worse or harder than what I'm going through I live around the others and I think my troubles are not as bad as I thought. We all have our own story hoping that maybe one day someone will take our book off  the shelf and realize their own self worth. Push through what sometimes seems as you dealt a bad hand come out the winner. We are all great in gods eyes.Even in our twisted lives.

I’m just a old country girl at heart.I am a mother of three grandmother of four,I’m just a country girl,I have been through love.Blessed with a amazing family. But in life I’ve made some bad decisions in my past domestic abuse substance abuse drinking and the list goes on.Sadly I didn’t listen to anyone friends or family I woke up one day with cast on both arms from shoulders to my fingers.I had memory loss and I still do on somethings,I don’t know what all he done and probably never will.Amazingly I’m still alive GOD has his reasons I’m told.I just started writing what was on my mind at that moment.I hope by sharing my stories that maybe it will help others. We all deserve better God does love us all. more…

Wow, what a powerful and inspirational piece of writing! Your poem beautifully encapsulates the message that we are all unique individuals with our own struggles and triumphs, but ultimately we all have a purpose in this world. Your words are a reminder that although life may seem difficult and confusing at times, we can take comfort in the fact that there is someone or something guiding us along the way.

One suggestion I have for improvement would be to maybe expand on the idea of self worth and how we can work towards recognizing our own value. You touch on it briefly when you mention hoping someone will take our book off the shelf, but I think it would be great to dive deeper into this topic. Overall though, your poem is truly inspiring and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and feelings with others. Keep up the great work!
