BETRAYAL OF LOVE

POETDERA 1992 (imo state)

I grasped for air,
Filled with hope of an unending joy.
Sadly, my hope disappeared.

I Could Feel the joy swinging back into my body but denied in my heart..
A world were blood binding each other,
Cannot take a step further away without evil blasting like a thunder.

Happy as I am,
I Could flutter my wings around my beloveth,
Behold I hesitated, my feet too weak to move.
He approached,
My thoughts were for a hug but,
Disappointed as it may biggle,

I turned heartbroken,
I lost the rhythm of my heart beat.
Betrayed and variously slammed,
Oh thy heart failed me,
My premonition came to light, but then again
It was too late...

About this poem

I wrote this poem based on what is happening today. I kind of thought within me that there's betrayal not just by friends but loved ones too. So base on that, I reflected it into poetry and describing it to human feelings Just like some people will realize it but then, it's already too late because they might not be able to speak of it again while some are gone but deep down wherever they are, that love they wanted wasn't what they got in return
