The Oiled Lamp That Shined in the Darkness

The Oiled Lamp That Shined in the Darkness

We tried to warn some of the people
But they were too blind to see
They were also deaf in their hearing
So they wouldn't listen to others or listen to me

There was an oiled lamp set in the darkness
Passing oil to those who had need
To those seeking the answers
To all the madness, the sickness and greed

There was an oiled lamp set in the darkness
To shine a light onto those with no flame
To those who cause pain through their actions
To let them know that there's no reward and no gain

But the people were used to their dark places
Where they hid, where they groaned and complained
Underneath their fear, anger and sadness
Is their light and their spirit, that they ignore and restrained

So energy depleted they seek a live wire
But to leach of other's energy is their only desire
People they groan and the people complain
Sucking the light/life out of the lamps, and leaving them drained

Whilst transferring the Truth, we shined a bright light
Some people got angry and kicked up a fight
Some gave us a blank stare, and others got scared
Some people ignored us like they never cared

Most people they hide in their inner temples
All of their windows and doors are slammed shut
Most people fell foul to a habit
Which lead them to fall into a rut

People are deceived by the media
By TV, the films and the news
The people are hypnotized daily
Into thinking they have their own views

They don't listen to the warnings
They don't open their ears or their eyes
They just accept what the media are saying
And are taken in by all of their lies

I do hope and do pray they would listen
I do hope and do pray they would see
Through this wicked web of deception
To seek the Truth which will set us all free

There will always be one who will listen
Who will research to see for themselves
Who will choose to dig a lot deeper
And they to will ring the alarm bells

So for me that makes it all worth it
All the backlash, the hate and ridicule
Because I have taken the time to do research
I haven't just dismissed the information, like that of a fool

There are lamps in darkness, who are concealing their light
Walking blind in the dark, not knowing which way is right
The flame from the lamp is the light of the Truth that's within

It shows us the way which is straight
The light of that flame is our life force
So reignite it before it's to late

About this poem

This is concerning the Light that is within us all, that some have dimmed through the trauma of their experiences. And the reality we all are facing which most would rather ignore.
