Alone

Carrie Zis 1981 (Narrogin)

Awake and alone, alone I woke, wondering if I will ever be more than a joke

Laying here wishing I was loved, realising I’m nothing so it can never be so

Wanting more, than what I have, but not being seen just used and left

Hating myself, hating the way I pretend I am ok, falling into a darkness I can never escape

Wishing you cared, like you said you do, knowing it was just away to make yourself feel true

Hanging my head in shame and regret, telling you I love you, was a huge mistake

Nothing for me, trying my best to be free, but instead all I do is cry and scream

Nothing at all, just a f*ck for you all, only because all I want is to feel loved

So help me please, I don’t want to feel cheap, but I must own it all, I set myself up for this fall
