CONQUER EVIL

CONQUER EVIL
July 14, 2020 Peter Sokolowskyj original

A child was born on a cold dark night
An amazing star shone its wondrous light
Some time in Bethlehem, it happened there
Angels praise God for his love and care
Peace and good will to our hearts delight
May it last all year, may it always be right
Angels sang songs from heaven above
In tune with our father’s unconditional love,
Why we give gifts then we go and share
Thanks to the father, may we all be aware
Stop now all wars, let peace be on earth
Love one another just has to be worth

God delivered the world his special treat
One special baby he wants the world to meet
A child who’ll bring so much love and joy
Unite many cultures and evil he’ll destroy
Pray more for peace prevent the threat of war,
More time for prayer like never before
Pray for the rich, bless all who are poor
Search deep for compassion we do need more
Make warm what is cold melt all the ice
Look a bit deeper and let’s try to be nice
Welcome all cultures end all sedition
No more seclusion according to tradition

This is his message of unconditional love,
Angels sang songs from heaven up above.
In Bethlehem actually it happened there
Gift from the father is his child so rare
Why we give of gifts then we go and share
Thank God for his love and that special care
Prevent any terror; spread no hatred or fear
Evil must be conquered, ban it from here
Spread no more terror or hatred and fear
To conquer evil, ban it forever from here
That child was born to correct that error
To rid the earth of tyranny and terror
