July 11
I look at the date and wonder why it’s so important
No birthday, no events, nothing to question.
It’s only after I see a note that it reminds me,
This day two years ago is the day I lost everything.
Who I was. What I loved. The whole entity that was me.
It died in a pit of sorrow never to be freed.
I sit here now still weighed down by that pain.
Begging the universe to cure me from this bane.
I thought I was stronger, I miss who I was.
I want to be better, I want to feel love.
This pain, this trigger, as hard as it may be,
Reminds me I am alive, that I actually am free.
How I feel now is nothing to what it would of been.
I rose above what was hard and did the right thing.
And from now on this day will remind me,
That I am strong, I do deserve love,
I am my own Queen.
