Overdose

Lazarus Mphande 2001 (Randburg)

You are overdose
I promised myself never to trust intruder
You came in, I trusted
Because you were promising
I saw future in you
And hoped of
New life
Of silver and golden longevity
Never did I saw your dark side
Like patient I took dose
Without thinking of side effects
Now am the one rolling
Never ;things run but crawl
I thought your doses were bringing
Me up
But down,
They put me
Dark side of you I am in
Thought you were bringing
Life but grave you dug for me
Go away
Never will I do you like I do me
Every new heart coming to my circle
I will always think of new hell
Because none will be new
