Buck Creek

I sit on the porch
With my coffee and the trees.
Hear the sound of the creek
Watch the birds and the bees.

There’s beauty in this place
Everywhere you look.
Whether you like to explore
Or enjoy a good book.

I take a walk by the creek
And pick up the trash.
The beauty of this place
Could be gone in a flash.

Take a look at this vase.
What do you see?
Small pieces of glass
Mixed in with potpourri.

Please pick up the glass
When you go out to explore.
Add them to this vase
Till there is no more.

Add creek glass to this vase
All the way to the brim.
We’ll take this creek glass
And make it beautiful again.
