Never forgotten

Today
is no ordinary day
it's the anniversary
of when you went away

Leaving no new memory
though many a broken heart
as our worlds were torn away
where your new life gets to start

We would trade all our memories
for one more day with you
to try and stop you doing
what you thought you had to do
